A carnival atmosphere has been set down for the new synthetic pitch Grand Opening on Sunday 2nd June, 2013.
A full day has been planned for the celebration and ‘Grand Opening’ of Sydney United 58 FC’s new synthetic pitch at Sydney United Sports Centre.
The construction of a new synthetic surface in season 2013 is a significant milestone for Sydney United 58 FC in the midst of a process of rejuvenation and transformation. The Club is focused on reinvigorating its former glory by being a leading force in the IGA NPL competition and equally re-establishing itself as the leading development club for professional footballers in Australia.
To share this celebration, past and present players, coaches, board members, TV personalities, celebrities and Local Council dignitaries will all be present to mark this momentous and historic day in SU58FC’s 55 year history.
The day will start at 10.ooam with the Reserve Grade (U/20’s) match against Manly United FC in Round 12 of the IGA NPL competition, followed by a Gala Day consisting of the our Sydney United Juniors FC teams.
There will be a fun ‘celebrity match’ involving some former greats that pulled on the Sydney United jumper followed by a formal ribbon cutting ceremony to announce the new pitch is officially open!
Mark Rudan’s United IGA NPL First Grade will kick-off at 3.00pm against Manly United FC in a much anticipated blockbuster match.
Half-time entertainment will be the SU58FC SAP U/9 – U/11 showcasing some of the talent currently being developed by the Club and certain to impress.
All day there is fun to keep kids of all ages amused with jumping castles and rides on the surrounding grounds with plenty of food and drinks available.
The Club is anticipating a great crowd to attend this occasion and all are ‘Welcome’ to join in on the day’s festivities!
