National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s side Sydney United 58 have boosted its squad for the 2022 season after agreeing to terms with striker Kyle Cimenti and Japanese import and right wing-back Taisei Kaneko.
The duo have been busily preparing for the new season under United 58’s new coach Joe Haywood as the Reds prepare for their opening fixture against the Wollongong Wolves on Sunday, 6th of March at the Sydney United Sports Centre.
Both signings are United 58’s only new faces as the majority of the 2021 squad was re-signed for the new season.
Cimenti returns to the NPL NSW Men’s competition after spending time with A-League outfit Macarthur Bulls’ senior squad following a successful campaign with Rockdale Ilinden in 2021.
Prior to his move to the A-League, Cimenti had an electric start to the 2021 NPL NSW Men’s season where the 23-year-old had scored seven goals in the opening ten matches.
While United 58’s new Japanese warrior Kaneko comes to the NPL NSW Men’s competition with some pedigree.
The 23-year-old spent time with J-League 3 outfit YSCC Yokohama as well as Taiwanese side Taichung Futuro.
Both new signings will add more flair and strength to a squad that features the likes of Patrick Antelmi, Glen Trifiro, Chris Payne, Yianni Perkatis and Devante Clute to name a few.
